Tonight Kelly babysat the kids. I just love it when she does because inevitably she has some good blogging material when I get home. A little background for those who don't know. Ella LOVES dresses. It would be all she would wear. But, she has other clothes in her closet she must wear. Every morning was a major battle picking out clothes. So, I put up a chart where each day of the week she has to wear either pants, a skirt, or dress depending on the day of the week. Friday, which is today, is skirt day. Problem solved! And since she loves dresses so much, we often threaten having to wear pants on a dress day for negative behavior. So here it goes:
Ella: Kelly, are you in trouble?
Kelly: (confused and a little worried) No, why?
Ella: Because you are wearing pants, and today is skirt day. If you are wearing pants, that must be your consequence for your behavior.
Kelly: Laughing....
On a different day...
Ella: Grant, are you Jewish?
Grant: heh (yes)
Ella: No, you aren't Jewish, you're Christian like me. Are you Jewish?
Grant: No.
Ella: That's right, you're not. You aren't wearing your hat!
