Why Now?

I've finally decided to start blogging about our family. What prompted it? Mostly Mike's deployment to Iraq. The best part of our day together is telling all the funny, sweet and interesting things the kids did that day. This is the best way to share that. I will be trying my best to keep it current, but it isn't easy being all things to all people in this house while Mike is away!

Potty Training

We finally decided to get serious about Grant's potty training.  He has been going on the potty when asked, but would still go in his diaper.  So, last Monday I told him no more diapers.  I said, "Big boys use the potty and babies use diapers."  (Grant will never let a baby comment slip by without him telling you that he is a big boy.)  He cried for his diapers and then he said, "Momma, I baby, I baby."

So I rolled up all the rugs and for this past week and he has been wearing NOTHING on the bottom unless we left the house.  (Whenever he wore underwear, he would just wet himself).  That meant a few puddles on the floor and one poop on the carpet but today he had his first day with NO accidents!  Yea Grant!
