Why Now?

I've finally decided to start blogging about our family. What prompted it? Mostly Mike's deployment to Iraq. The best part of our day together is telling all the funny, sweet and interesting things the kids did that day. This is the best way to share that. I will be trying my best to keep it current, but it isn't easy being all things to all people in this house while Mike is away!

Ramblings

Now that Grant is starting to talk more (sigh of relief), I'm going to start adding his ramblings to the blog.  Sure, they are mostly unintelligible, but I have become pretty good at figuring out most of it.  Last night, when Grant was sleeping we could hear little grunts and quiet squeals.  Then I clearly heard "choo choo" spoken, at least a few times.  It was at least a 9.7 on the cuteness scale (10 being a perfect score).  As I write this, it makes me want to go in his room and give him a squeeze.

Listening to Ella while she was playing make believe:
"Oh, your teacher didn't text me that you were coming!"

Shopping for khaki pants for her school uniform:
"Mommy, why do we have to get tacky pants?  Can't I get another kind?"
